Katia Obraczka (University of California) - Research on Ad Hoc Networking at UCSC's I-NRG

In this talk, we will present an overview of the ongoingresearch in the area of ad hoc networking carried out at UC SantaCruz's Internetwork Research Group. The projects include design ofefficient MAC protocols for MANETs, development of an integratedframework for interoperation of MANET multicast routing protocols,design of efficient data aggregation algorithms for sensor networks,and design of reliable multicast transport for MANETs.


Katia Obraczka is an Assistant Professor at UC SantaCruz's Jack Baskin School of Engineering. Her research and teachinginterests include computer networks, distributed systems, Internetinformation systems, and operating systems. Prof. Obraczka received herB.S. and M.S. in electrical and computer engineering from the FederalUniversity of Rio de Janeiro. She received her M.S and Ph.D. degrees inComputer Science from the University of Southern California in 1990 and1994, respectively.http://inrg.cse.ucsc.edu/
